About

I’m Mahsa, a Ph.D. student in Computer Science at the University of Notre Dame, working in the Computer Vision Research Lab (CVRL) with Prof. Adam Czajka.

My research focuses on iris presentation attack detection and synthetic image generation using generative models like GANs and diffusion models. especially interested in improving the quality of synthetic iris images for secure and privacy-aware biometric systems. Previously, I worked on emotion recognition using physiological signals.

In my free time, I enjoy going to the gym or swimming, and listening to audiobooks and podcasts. I’m often brainstorming app ideas or thinking about current tech challenges—and how to solve them. I’m passionate about identifying human/product problems and designing meaningful solutions.
